Feb 13-16, 2026 - Participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count

The Bay Club Conservancy is excited to invite members and local residents to take part in the Great Backyard Bird Count, happening February 13–16; a fun, easy way to connect with nature and contribute to real scientific research!

All it takes is 15 minutes. Step outside, look up, and enjoy observing the birds in your backyard, neighborhood, or on a favorite walking path. Every sighting counts and helps scientists better understand bird populations across the globe.

How to participate:

Record your observations using the Merlin Bird ID or eBird apps.

Or simply email your sightings - including date, time, number, and type of birds - to Jack Dresser at jackdresser@gmail.com, and he’ll submit them on your behalf.

This worldwide event brings together nature lovers of all ages, turning simple moments of observation into meaningful conservation impact.
