The

Story

The Bay Club is a private, member-owned golf and lifestyle community laid out across 625 rolling, wooded acres near Buzzards Bay. Developed as a master-planned enclave, it blends championship golf, elegant homes, and rich natural conservation.

Its centerpiece is an 18-hole, par-71 championship golf course, designed by PGA Tour professional Brad Faxon along with architect Brad Booth. The course first opened for play in 2004 and stands as a classic New England parkland layout.

Notably, the club achieved the Silver Audubon International Signature Sanctuary designation—making it the only club in Massachusetts with that status, celebrated for preserving 88% of its original forest.

The Sports & Activities Center, a focal point for fitness and community life, opened in 2005. This 10,000-square-foot facility includes a year-round fitness center, aerobics studio, steam-equipped locker rooms, and versatile meeting and culinary space for demos and gatherings.

In 2007, developer Abbott Real Estate acquired 36 home sites within the Bay Club, bringing to life a collection of elegant residences—from 2,000 to 3,000 sq ft—complete with social membership in the club. Approximately 155 acres house the golf and facilities, 270 acres were allocated for residential development, and 200 acres were preserved as open space.
